I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant with my 2nd son. I am just wondering how many of you ladies out there made it to your due date. I was due March 26th with my first son and he came March 19th. I'm due this time March 24th. How many of you ladies went into labour BEFORE your due date. how many of you went past? Were you way early?

wow your due is near mine. i'm due on march 25th. grins hehehe great to know someone out here like me. well i'm preggy with my sec gal. my first son came a mth early. hehe and i wasn't induced or anything. in fact, i was due on jab 14 but doctor wanted to induce and get him out on jan 2 as he was a small babe. but surprise of surprise, he actually came early. my water bag started leaking so i went to the hospital, where the nurses said they'd probably try to stop the leaking since the bag hadn't burst fully. but just as i stood up to go to the room, it burst fully so i had to deliver him and it was a natural birth fortunately. hehehe wat's even more special is that he's a christmas babe but he had to stay in the hospital for more than 2 wks as he was a premature babe. you could bet that i was really emotional tht time as i wasn't allowed to stay with him all the time as there was an airborne disease spreading tht time. and he was in a different ward frm mine. good luck with your sec babe. we shd be due around the same time. hehehe

Wow, I know exactly what you went through with your first son. My daughter was 3 1/2 weeks early. She was due on the 28th of December, yet came out on December 5th. Had you made it to Jan 2nd and the doctor induce your son would have been born on my birthday. Good luck on your current pregnancy. I hope everything goes well.

Oh wow :) I'll have to keep track of you LOL. That way we can see just how close our kiddos are. Wow a month early. I can imagine it was emotional. I spend many hours crying now over the fact that I have to leave my son for a few days (however long I'm in the hospital for) and I'm not use to being away from him.

Both of my own children were early. My son came out 12 days early and then my daughter came out 3 1/2 weeks early. I also have a stepson who I believe was early for his mother as well. As for my brother and I. My mom had my brother early, but she had me two weeks late.

Oh wow, 3 1/2 weeks...I hope that dont happen to me lol. That's in like 3 weeks. I'm not ready for the baby to come quite yet. I want it over and done with but am scared that if I deliver early that something will be wrong with him.

Being born that early doesn't nessicarly mean that something will be wrong with him. Yes, my daughter had to stay in the hospital for a week. She got fluid in her lungs when she came out. But that had nothing to do with her being early. She just came out of the birth canal too fast, so it left a lot of fluid in her lungs. If she would have come out slower, it wouldn't have happened and she would have been fine. She is now 4 years old and you can't even tell that she was ever a preemie. She is actually very smart and ahead for her age. The doctors are thinking that she might actually be very intellegent with a very high IQ. Don't worry too much about your child coming out early. I am sure everything will be fine and you will have a very healthy child. Best of luck on your pregnancy.

Well thank you very much for the encouraging words :) I've very glad to hear that your daughter was ok after coming early. I just get so worried that something is going to go wrong. It just set in a few days ago, along with the "nesting" I need the house cleaned up and its not happening fast enough for me

My oldest was 3 days late, my second was 5 days late, my third was 6 days early, my fourth was one day early, my fifth was 10 days late and my sixth was questionable...by dates and everything he was 2 weeks late exactly but by his appearance at birth he was roughly two weeks early. *shrugs*. Based on his birth size compared to his brothers I'd say he was probably a little early. They were 8 pounds 4 ounces, 19 1/2 inches long and 8 pounds 8 ounces, 21 inches long while he was only 7 pounds 5 ounces and 18 inches long (which was the same weight and two inches shorter than my oldest son born 5 days late with a different father so it's still questionable even based on that!) Babies come when they want and birth order doesn't seem to make a big difference. It would be kind of neat if both of yours shared a birthday but I also know what it's like to almost share a birthday with a sibling (one day different) so you have to be careful about giving them both their own special attention.

Holy smokes lol ~ you sure do have alot of kiddos. All boys? That's my fear in trying for another one to have a girl. It will be a boy and then I'll just keep trying and it will be boy after boy :)

Oh goodness no lol! #1 and #3 are girls, but still 4 boys can be handful, especially when 3 of them came in just under 4 years! I would have loved to have one more girl but like you said you can try and try and only get boys My s/o (and father of my youngest 3 boys) had a son and daughter already so for him it's only 1 girl out of 5 children. I didn't figure the odds were in my favor lol!

lets see: Baby #1, he came 2 weeks early. Baby #2, he was a planned c-section Baby #3, she came the day after her due date (induced labor) Baby #4, well he came pretty much right on time Baby #5, he came about 2 weeks early as well.

When I was growing up, I wanted two kids, no more. lol Little did I know that I'm a freak of nature. We planned baby #1 and #2. Then I went on the birth control pill, never missed a dose, and got pregnant with my daughter. After her, I went on the shot, and got pregnant with my fourth child, then went on the patch and got pregnant with the fifth. LOL Good thing me and hubby like kids! Moral of the story, if you are positive that you are done having babies, get your tubes tied! LOL (Yes, I did it after baby #5)

Wow you are a busy girl lol. I wanted 5 kids when I was younger but now that I have 1 and another one the way. I'm pretty sure that I am done. As much as I'd like to try for a girl I'm pretty sure that I am a boy makin machine. So I guess babies coming early really isn't that big of a surprise. Many of them do it lol

My first was born exactly a week after his due date, my second waited until 10 days after hers. I'm due March 9th this time, and am thinking the baby will be here the 14th,*shrugs*, just a hunch. It runs in my family though. My kids, my nephew, my brother and I were all born almost exactly 9 months from conception, making us all about a week late by conventional dating. My sister was induced, so we'll never know if she would've been a week late too!

Those hunches can really mean something! Almost all of mine have been born on or within a day of my "hunches". Actually 5 out of 6 were, the one that went 10 days late was unexpected although I got a new "hunch" a day or two before he did finally come because I'd been scheduled for an induction first thing Tuesday morning and I "decided" I was going to have to go into labor on my own on Monday because I did NOT want an induction...I did and had a perfectly easy delivery and had held him, fed him, and shown him off to a few visitors all before he had been "scheduled" to be born!

I don't know if it is the fact of babies coming early, I think sometimes the doctors are just wrong when they give a due date. Also, Fate, or whatever you believe in has a lot to do with it. And don't underestimate the baby itself. Maybe they have some kind of instinct of when they are ready. Two of my grandbabies came at 30 weeks. Very premaure, but both healthy and so far, neither of them are showing any effects of coming too early.

I have never had a baby, but my mom gave birth to me 11 days after my due date. That's probably not very reassuring to you! Lol.

Oh boy! If I haven't delivered by March 18th on my own, they are taking the baby out so no 11 days past due for me :). I was born a day after my duedate and my brother was 18 days late.

My first was 2 weeks late. Two years later my second child was born 12 days late. Ten years passed pg with #3 born 3 days early, two years later another baby born 7 days early, and one year later baby born 7 days early. My first was c-section, all others natural. Went into labor myself without meds. It seem to have gotten easier with each birth as my body finally figured out what to do.Just get your bags packed early just in case. It sounds like you might go early based on your past. Good luck may it be a quick and easy birth. bluereddog1990

Well, both of my pregnancies for my 2 sons were overdue. I was overdue for 5 days with my eldest son, so good that I still had normal delivery. The same with the birth of my second son, I was also overdue for a week. He was given antibiotic coz he had already eaten something inside my womb. It's good also that I had normal delivery for the 2nd son, although I had a hard time during delivery of my 2 boys.

My first son was a csection because he was breech. He was due March 26th, my csection date was March 23rd but he had plans on coming early and was born March 19th. This one they have a csection booked as well because of my first one leaving alot of scarring. The dr thinks that he might come early as well :)

I don't have children, but I discuss with mommies. I didn't hear any of the ladies I taked to saying she was right to the term. Most of them gave birth before the time due, only one or two of them were late.

My first child was 5 days early, weighing 9lbs 3oz, my second child was born on her due date, weighing 8lbs 13oz. My third was two weeks early. And it was a good thing too, he was 9lbs 1oz when he was born, if I would have went those two weeks he would have been close to 10lbs.

I was due on August 1st with my daughter. I had her on July 6th. So I was a month early with my first child. I personally think the doc had it wrong. I have never heard of a first time mother being that early. Plus she was 6 pounds so it was not like she was premature. Good Luck and Congrats to you!!

I only have one son. He was late and they actually had to induce me because he just wasn't coming on his own.

With my son I went 2 weeks over and had to be induced. Then with my daughter I had her a week early, but only because I had a planned c-section. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

With my first child my due date was May 20 2004 and I went in labor at 2 am May 21 and had her at 10:26 am I think it was. With my second child my due date was November 3 2007 and due to a UTI that was going into my kidneys making me very ill I went in labor 2 1/2 weeks early on October 18 2007 at 2 am and gave birth to him at 7 something in the am. I should remember the time he was born but I'm not even 100 % sure about my first childs time of birth without looking it up. I have such a bad memory.

My first was due May 19 and I had her May 31. 4 years later with my second, I was due May 31 and hoped and prayed I'd either be later or early - just not on the same day! My little boy smiled at me June 10!
