Yes, it is rare but I have before. I would NOT lie to save them from punishment if I felt it was a serious offense, or would negitivly effect others.

He's not really my friend actually but I love him the same because I love the people around me.Well,he threw a plastic card in the air and it slashed my cheek. My teacher wanted to know why I shouted in pain.I told her about the card but I didn't say who threw it.

Telling lie is not good habit. But it works positive in some situations. If your telling lie can save some one from punishment, then it seems a good action. If some one caused a serious guilty then he or she should rewarded by punishment. In such places we should never try to defend them by telling lie. This may cause to convert the punishment to some one innocent. If some one did a minor type crime, then you can save him by telling lie in fever of him or her self. Such type of saying lie is a friendly gift from your side.

No, I will not lie for anyone. Invariably it will come back to bite you in the butt if you do. Lying is never good for any situation. A person may be upset for a while if you tell the truth but they will get over that much better than if they find out you lied to them. Take it from someone who lives with a lier. It will destroy your life and those around you.

Depends on the situation. Want to be friends? ;-)

No and if they asked me to lie for them they would not be my friend anymore. Being a friend is being by thier side but not destroying your morals to do it. We all want to be good friends to those we love but lying is not the way.

Ok, yes I would say I would indeed lie for a friend and have done so on some occasions. Little lies that if the truth were known it would really hurt another friend, etc. Of course, there might be a limit, I am not sure, I have never actually been faced with something really serious and likely would not lie or purger myself in court, it is just something I could not (I don't thinks so anyways) bring myself to do. I would say it would definately depend on how good of friends we were and what the lie would entail. Ok, I just contradicted myself, I know, but let me just say that I hope I am never put in that situation and have to find out!

Hi, some other situation if thats good reason why not, but if you lie about his or her wrong just to run funishment thats not right. you teach him or her to do that again and ruin life after all, no changes guys. some cases they save friend for good, so they lie. theres so called two lies on earth.

Yes, in college and I will never do it again. I didn't realize it until later, but that girl really wasn't my friend and I thought she was. A real friend would not have you lie for her to get her out of punishment. I felt horrible that 1. I had lied and 2. She used me. At least I learned a lesson.

Not yet but if I do, I would lie for a friend to save him/her from SEVERE punishment but s/he must not abuse it because I won't do it all the time.

Im definatly familiar with this type of situation. I have probably bailed my friends out of trouble more times than any one person should. As for lying to keep a freind out of trouble i dont think its such a bad thing.

I've lied for my friends before when they were in trouble but that was in high school....like one was cursing and someone went and told and the teacher came and ask us if he was really cussin and we all swore that we never heard a curse word come out of his mouth. I haven't ever really lied to save a friend from a serious situation like going to jail or anything. Of course I have never been put in that situation either...where if I didn't lie for a friend he was going to jail....but I think that if it was something that wasn't really serious I might lie but if it were something that I could get in alot of trouble for...I highly doubt I would lie

Yes I would lie for a friend, I have done it before to get someone out of trouble at work, and a friend has lied for me to get me out of trouble. I believe thats what true friends do, they are there for you no matter what, 24/7.

i don't think so. if your friend did something wrong he should stand out and accept punishment. if he ask you lie for him then both of you make another mistake.

If it was something major then there is no way I'd lie for them..they made their mess they can sit in it as far as I'm concerned...If it were something minor, chances are I'd just completely avoid getting involved at all....I have no time for that sort of thing and there is no place for it in my life
