Do you ever record your own movies or tv programs?

I have direcet tv and it has the option to record programs and movies on it. I had the thing 2 months before I even tried to figure it out and was surprised that it's a lot easier than I thought it would be. So far I have recorded two older movies, a recent horror movie and I think (hope!) I have it set up to record a movie coming on this weekend that I'll probably miss because my granddaughter will be here. This is yet to be seen because I'm not really sure I pressed all the right buttons...lol...
Do you use a DVD player, pc or direct tv to record movies and tv programs that you don't want to miss? If you do how often do you do it?

Yes oh yes.By DVring some of the sports is the Only way I could see The X Games, Figure Skating, and The NHL All Star game in one weekend. They were all airing at the same time all weekend long. So I recorded one and saw the other two.And when it comes to movies, I tape them on my VCR. My VCR is easy to program so I set it up , make sure the t,v is on the correct station and i have a great film on tape.

We use a DVR from our cox cable company that records tv programs and movies. It's great when I know my son is watching his cartoons and I can record myprograms or when my hubby is watching his sports, I can record movies. I have a few tv programs i record each day.

When we had cable I taped alot of movies to VHS just for personal viewing but since we don't have cable anymore I don't do it. We're also working on replacing our VHS tapes with DVD's. It's a slow process though.

I used to really enjoy recording movies, ctry, but I guess I don't spend nearly as much time watching them as I used to, so I have become lazy. I really wanted to record Comanche Moon when it was on TV recently, but I was feeling so ill from the cold I had that I just didn't bother. Now I will have to find out if it's available on DVD.

We don't ever record movies. The only thing we have now to record on is the VCR. We are getting satellite tomorrow though and when we called my husband said he wanted the DVR so he could record things. But I said do you really think we would record stuff because I don't think we will. He said we probably wouldn't so we didn't tell them to add that in with it. They said we could always call back if we decided we wanted it. My mom and my father in law have the DVR though so if we really needed or wanted something recorded then we could call one of them and they would record it for us.
