to keep you coming back? For me, it is has to have good service people that are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It also needs to be clean and well organized. Thirdly, the prices must be realistic and competitive. One particular department store that usually has all this for me and is close to where I live (bunus, lol) is Zellers. It is equivillent to a likely a K Mart, etc in the U.S. And is part of The Hudson's Bay Company chain of stores in Canada. Having good products presented well at a good price is important. Like you say good employees are very important. We do a lot of shopping at WalMart and a local grocery store. Lately I have noticed that some of the WM employees dont appear to be happy in fact they sometimes seem rather sullen. One of the local grocery stores has decided to expand into items which may take away some of the business from WM. People began using WM because of the prices now they are begining to lose business cause their prices are going up and the quality is going down. So a lot of us a moving to other stores which have good quality stuff and smiling helpful employees.
