If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Do you sometimes feel like if it weren't for bad luck you would have no luck at all? Today was one of those days for me. We had a freak snowstorm yesterday and last night the winds were howling. The wind chill was 35 below zero and it blew all night. Oh not to worry I was warm and cozy in the house and I had the car plugged in so I knew it would start in the morning (here is Wisconsin cars come with plugs to plug them into an outlet to keep them warm enough to start). The problem was that when I went to leave our driveway which is half a mile long was drifted most of the way out. Well, my better half told me I could get through in the subaru as it goes anywhere. Well, maybe the car does but I don't!!! I got about 40 feet through the drifts when I got high sided and ended up being stuck. Not only that but since the better half forgot to plug in the tractor there was no way to plow the drive and help me get out. I really needed to get into my shop as I had left some mold sitting overnight (I have a ceramic shop) and I knew if I did not get them out soon they would crack and I would have to throw them away. Well, finally got the tractor started, 5 hours later, and cleared the snow from behind the car. Not that it did any good as I was sitting on the snow and had no traction. Out came the chain and we tried to pull me out with the tractor. After pulling and digging for half an hour I was finally free. Got into the shop and low and behold several of my pieces were cracked. I really needed them for an order so it really made me angry. I decided that I would just go home and blow off the rest of the day thinking that way nothing else could go wrong. When I got home I found out while I was gone someone drank all the milk and there was no more bread either. Another trip into town to the store. I am just so beat right now and hope I have had my fill of bad luck for the day. Better make that for the year!
