Where Do you eat dinner?

Many studies have been done on the importance and benefits of eating dinner together as a family with the tv off. My family tries to sit down each night to eat dinner together - what about yours? Do you eat dinner in front of the tv? At the dinner table? At a restaurant? On the go? Where do you chow?

Before I work outstation, I used to have dinners with my parents everyday. It's the best time to talk with each other. But after I worked in Penang, a city which is an hour drive from my home town, I used to have dinner alone. Occasionally, I have dinner with friends. Usually I have dinner in the restaurants or in the hawker center.

Except the Saturday night, we go out to eat in a restaurant. Most of the time, we stay at home to eat and eat properly at the dinner table without watching TV. We think having a meal while watching TV is a bad habit. In fact, we are quite concern teaching our child's table manner.

We do eat together, sometimes at the table but sometimes we're on our separate computers in the same room.

We have a habit that we will have a dinner together. If one is late or has an appointment, he/she will call and therefore his/her family don't have to make extra food. We have dinner in the dining room and usually we can only listen to TV rather than watch it:)

It depends. Some family members get together only to argue. Especially when they are tired from work. When they eat out it is better for all their family.

Always at the dining room table. We'll eat breakfast at the kitchen table and look out into the back yard. I like for the tv to be off at dinner, but the dining room faces the living room and there is a tv in there facing the dining room, so half of the time, it's on. I suppose it depends on what is on if we watch. We don't eat out that much. I always cook a dinner at home. I find I can duplicate, for much less the meals we would get at any restaurant.
