Do You Use Facebook.com? Mainly for Personal or for your Business?

I just received an invitation by a friend to join facebook.com. To be frank, I am not a fanatic about social networking site because I don't really have much time in updating profiles and stuff. But it would be good to maintain contact with some friends there, so I joined.
Also, I think I could link to my website and blog from there!
So how long have you been using facebook and what do you like about it? If you are using it for your online business, do you find it useful in promoting your stuff?

Facebook is a great place to keep in touch with friends. especially if you have friends who are far away. I use it mainly to keep up with friends, to share my photos of what's going on in my life, and to see what everyone else is up to. I find it very easy to use, once you get to know how it works. But I don't think it's the best place to use for business. I haven't come across anyone like that there. It's more just a social networking site, as it's known. Good luck with it!

Yes pictures are good! I won't update it too often as I would be totally bored after awhile, but I already see a lot of "long-lost" people there *smiles*.

Triond, which is one of my favorite Paid-to-Write programs recently partnered with Facebook, so they apparently think it is a good place to promote PTW articles online. I haven't done much with it yet, but did sign up from a myLot friend's link. Speaking of promoting stuff online, have you done anything new on Squidoo? I sure wish I hadn't joined Squidoo before you, as I would have used your link.

When you write on helium, you could see their facebook icon at the end of your article too, and you could post that on your facebook profile. I think the same happens to triond! Indeed, I have to say facebook is not the most user-friendly social networking site, but many people (at least around here) are using it. Oh so you have a facebook account? Mind PM-ing me your profile? So I could add you there (I still need to investigate on how to add friends *laughs*).
Speaking about Squidoo, I haven't been there for awhile, I am still thinking of how it could "integrate" into my "beauty kingdom" and I am still thinking about it. Don't worry, I am not really active on referrals *laughs*.

social networking sites are like social bookmark sites where they provide good traffic to anything that you want to promoting. It is good that from time to time that you visit such sites, you'll never know who you will bump into. I have been a member of facebook for about a year now but i have not got a chance to really explore its business possibilities like joining groups.

I haven't got around to explore the site fully too as I am still running out of time. Maybe tomorrow or during weekend I would sit down and take a good look!

I use it to keep in touch with some friends who live in Canada and my sister and brother in law in Minnesota!
