Setting a Goal to Write on Helium?

Hong Kong

I never did set a goal on writing in helium, like how many pieces per week etc. But I noticed that when I just follow my mood, I didn't really spend much time writing there (as mostly I would be in a no-mood-to-write state). After coming back from my vacation, I spent a little more time investigating the site and have set a goal to myself to write constantly there. For the past two days, I have been doing fine there. My goal is to write at least one piece in helium until I get a job (I will refine my goal by then). And for the past two days, I have managed to write a piece each day. What about you? Have you set a goal to yourself there?

i'm not that good at writing articles. i write just to improve my writing skills. both at helium and hubpages. i've been there for a month roughly and i've only written 3 articles. not good since i'm not in the mood. i usually do with my mood too since other times i'd be busy to even think of writing properly. so it's only when i have inspiration. also, i have to do at both hubpages and helium though it's not necessary that i have to do it. thus, i don't really set a goal.

I used to write when my mood struck me and it was not good for me, I could turn in nothing after a month *laughs*. Maybe you could browse through articles there and you could get more ideas on topics to write!

i have never set my fingers yet at helium and i do not think i could ever be a good writer because i have been turn down by a client before because it had cost them money because of my article. there were complaints and even asked for a refund of their subscription. So, i would just write on forums and on my blogs from now on. I would say you go for it and you might end up having a regular job writing for helium.

I see possibility of attracting publishers there if you are really good! I am not that confident but I guess it's good to practice writing and earn a bit at the same time. Really? But I think you could give it a try as it's just really opinion-based stuff, as long as you don't copy other people's work, you are definitely fine. Some of the articles in the marketplace pays quite decently!

I try for one article a week. Sometimes I miss a week and other times, I write more than one in a week. Since there are 52 weeks in a year and I'm up to 44 articles at 7 months, I'm doing pretty well overall. The good thing is that in January, I averaged 7 cents a day, so I'm on track to get my payout some time this year. Better than my zero the first month and taking all the next month to get 7 cents. Take care
