hi kun! ^__^ would you believe that I listen more to foreign songs than our local songs?? ^__^;; that's being unloyal but I call it freedom to choose. I like a few local bands and singers but I like many foreign artists. the foreign list outnumbers the local ones. maybe because I had listened to many local songs since I was a child that I already got tired of them. ^__^;; the few local artists that I like are those that with new styles and those that sounds foreign. and mostly, their songs are in english. ^__^ I like foreign songs because they are new to me, they are different, they offer a new variety in listening. currently, aside from English songs, I'm also into Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean music. but more on Japanese really. my playlist is so populated of Japanese songs. LOL and I can't never get enough of it. ^__^

Nope. I listen to songs as long as they sound nice. The tune is most important. However, usually I will stick to English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Japanese and Korean songs. Sometimes Malay or Indian. International station I also like. Just about these few.

Being a Singaporean and a bilingual (or multilingual), I listen to songs of my language and other languages too. I listened to mainly English songs and Chinese songs. Sometimes I will be compelled to listen to Hokkien songs when my friends sing them in KTV. LOL It was a surprise for me when I first knew they sing Hokkien songs. I also enjoy listening to Cantonese songs but I can only half understand Cantonese. I enjoy listening to Korean, Japanese and Spanish music too, even though I do not understand the lyrics at all. =P

I think I have three or four foreign songs. Songs that I can't understand. English is foreign but these songs not english. I like Because I'm a Girl by Kiss, I also like Life as a Boat by Rei Fu. I like Josh Groban's not-english songs like the Prayer.

both... because it is nice to hear in different languages so i can be versatile. It depends on the melody of the songs and the message it reflects you...BUt as much as possible, love your own first.

YUP, a song depends much on the melody, if not will be the message that song is trying to bring out to the listeners.

Hie Kun, I hardly listen to songs of my own language, probably I am not used to it ( Hokkien )as I was exposed to English songs since I was young. And I find Cantonese and Mandarin not too bad but no time to listen to so many..lol Already half the day gone spending in Mylot, downloading English songs and listening already taken up most of the time. But I do like Hindustani and Latin/Spanish songs although I don't understand a word of it..hehehee. That's the joy of music, don't have to understand but just enjoy it. Cheers,

I listen mostly to the songs in english, couse my country's songs just sucks. There's only few groups that are really good in my opinion in my country. One of them is SweetNoise. I am listening to Rammstein too so I can add German language as well to my list.

All languages are great, it helps you learn about culture, life and national heritage. It also shows how different songs are and how aritist of a certain religion, culture or nation express their feelings, thats why i listen to all. Currently my favourite are japenese songs featured in anime Chinese songs all around!! and english rock songs that everyone listens too MUSIC forever

we filipinos do listen to foreign songs more often though we know that its not proper because we should love our own, we found foreign songs good to listen than our own song... yeah its actually practicing freedom... because here in philippines you are allowed to do anything you want as long as your not doing anything against the law..

Well, I've got to say that there are very few Greek songs that I like, so I mainly listen songs in another language. I like British and American music, Italian music and quite a few French songs. I'm willing to try different things as well, but I think that most people prefer listening to songs in their own language because it's easier to understand the lyrics.

i like song with beautiful tunes no matter they are domestic or foreign.one of my favorites is a french song called 'un ange frappe a ma porte' song by natasha st-pier. here is the lyric, though i know little about it. un signe, une larme, un mot, une arme, nettoyer les étoiles à l'alcool de mon âme un vide, un mal des roses qui se fanent quelqu'un qui prend la place de quelqu'un d'autre un ange frappe a ma porte est-ce que je le laisse entrer ce n'est pas toujours ma faute si les choses sont cassées le diable frappe a ma porte il demande a me parler il y a en moi toujours l'autre attiré par le danger un filtre, une faille, l'amour, une paille, je me noie dans un verre d'eau j'me sens mal dans ma peau je rie je cache le vrai derrière un masque, le soleil ne va jamais se lever. un ange frappe a ma porte est-ce que je le laisse entrer ce n'est pas toujours ma faute si les choses sont cassées le diable frappe a ma porte il demande a me parler il y a en moi toujours l'autre attiré par le danger je ne suis pas si forte que ça et la nuit je ne dors pas, tous ces rêves ça me met mal, un enfant frappe à ma porte il laisse entrer la lumière, il a mes yeux et mon coeur, et derrière lui c'est l'enfe

Hi kun, I like to listen to music from all countries and in any language. I believe Music has its own language. especially the folk music from various countries interests me a lot. I'm from India but I like to listen american country music and blues very much which is very similar in tune to the british folk music! I also like to listen to african blues music, very soothing and pleasant experience. have you ever tried Indian tune??
