Perverts online!

There is a growing number of perverts online. This is very alarming considering that there are also more and more children using the computer. Just the other day, while I was at the internet cafe because I had to rush some paperworks and didn't really have time to go home, I saw this young girl (she said she was 10 years old) who was seated beside me clicked on a webcam invite and I was really surprised by what I saw. On cam was a man showing off his p*nis. He was m*strbating on cam. The young girl immediately closed the cam and signed out of her messenger. She looked at me and she was blushing. Perhaps because of embarassment, she grabbed her bag, paid her bill and left.
Time and again, I always remind my younger sister (12 years old) not to entertain chatters online especially those who are not known to her. I explained to her why because I don't want that her curiousity would cause her to do just what she's not supposed to.
Be on guard!

There are indeed a lot of perverts online and i have seen a number of them. I have a 6 year old daughter who uses a lot, so i watch her like a hawk. The anonymity provided by the net made it easy for a lot of people to show their craziness and perversity.

Well, we just really have to be vigilant and cautious especially that children have access to internet.

that is very true. perverts are swarming the www. i used to chat in yahoo rooms, and what i always do is read between the lines of the person im chatting with. u can tell right away if they want something nasty. usually these people ask u right away if u got cam. and when they ask me this question , i block them right away. do we really need to see each other for us to start a meaningful conversation?

It's disappointing when people online ask you if you have cam immediately even without asking how you are doing. It gets more irritating when they keep buzzing just to get your attention. Urgh! Just like you, I ignore/block them right away.

hi dolce_vita! ^__^
you are absolutely right. the number of perverts in the internet are growing so fast. and what's bad is children as young as you saw has access to computers and in the internet and there's a high possibility that they will encounter these perverts. i guess its a good thing that my nieces are not into internet yet.
when i was still naive about everything in the internet, i was still a student then, i encountered a lot of these perverts. they would chat with me and invite me to their webcam and since i only thought that want to show me their face, i would accept their requests and be shocked to what i will see. at first i thought, there are only few people like that but as time goes by, i encounter a lot of their kind so i learned my lesson and i always ignore those who invite me to their webcam. i carefully choose now who i will chat with and who i will accept as friends. ^__^

That is so sick and can't believe she would accept friends like that on her msn. Its unbelievable how young girls/boys don't see that as being sick, you know?
We all have to be weary of who we talk with online, you just never know!

I think that young girls and boys should be guided by their parents while using the internet... it is like watching tv or a movie... the PG is always on...perverts will always be everywhere or in places where we least expect it... and it is up to us parents to guide our children and to protect them from these scums... i hope there will be harshers laws imposed on sexuals offenders... some even deserve the electrictric chair or lethal injection... just so they won't victimize innocent souls anymore...

ewww. I'm always very carefel online, as well as with my little sis [11 yrs]. We like watching "To catch a predator," too. Sometimes it's unbelievable, you never know who is a "pervert."
