FINALLY!! We are getting lots and lots of snow. Another storm that was crossing IN overnight is now here to dump at least another 6 inches on top of the 6 inches we already received earlier in the night. Went to confirm what I already knew at 5:30 am....cancellations for all schools in the county paper delivery area which is 4 counties. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! Something tells me there will be no paper delivery either. As you can see in the pic, my car is buried and I'm a motor route carrier. lol

Gooooooooooood mornin', Terry. Don't worry, I'm hogging all my snow cause the weather will change back to warm again and melt it all away on me like it did the other 2 times we had lots of snow.

I just came in from outside. My neighbor plowed my drive for me while I was making a path to the shed and dumpster. Sure is beautiful out there. Huge flakes! Snow not packing very well thou. It's gotta pack for snowmen and snowball fights. :-D

I do recall a time when you hogged all your snow and wouldn't send me any. What comes around, goes around. :-P No snow for you, Grandpa Bob.

I live in Illinois also. I work at the grade school and it is closed as are all the schools in the surrounding area. When I looked out the window this morning my car was completely topped with snow. It still is and it is 10:30 A.M. and I see no need to clean it off since I don't have to go to work due to the snow. So here I am sitting in front of the computer on this site reading and typing away. Just relaxing.

Since I deliver newspapers, I had to go out and drive in this. I loved every minute of it at that. Now I'm back in the house where the fire has been keeping it nice and toasty for me.

Oh you are so lucky. So how much did you get?? I live in Maryland and we got about 2 inches of rain. I want snow so bad!!!! I'm just a big kid at heart.
The sad thing is that they closed schools today. I was up at 4 a.m. and it was dry. Around 4:30 it started as freezing rain. They delayed school by 2 hours at 5:30 and then by 7:30 they closed them. It should have just been a delay, now we have a day tacked on to the end of the school year already. Bummer.

I took my ruler out and measured the snow on my picnic table after it stopped snowing this morning. 11 1/2" of the fluffy stuff. My daughter and I got a lil depressed when I couldn't get the lawn mower started so I could pull her around the yard in the sled. My mower gets used year round. Deck comes off late in fall and the tire chains go on to haul wood up from the back of the property and to pull the sled round the yard. Tractor is in the shed and I have a heat lamp trained right on the oil pan. I'm praying it starts tomorrow for some sledding fun. No hills round here to sled down so gotta make do.
Someone told me another storm will be blowing in sometime next week. I hope so...Want more snow...more more more..5' or more. lol Yes, I'm a kid and a nut.

I hope your tractors starts for you today. We have a little slope in our backyard so the girls are content with that, if we ever get some snow. Now we live on a cool hill, but they can't sled down it since it part of the street. I can remember getting dressed, walking to the park, sledding down a hill, falling into the ditch of icey water, then having to walk home again to do it all again. I must have driven my poor mom crazy!
I hope you do get more snow. Here in MD we are suppose to be in the 50's today and for part of the upcoming week.
