I have received some bad news and I wanted to pass this on and ask for prayers from everyone who reads this. My husband's unit was attacked yesterday and one of the guys was killed and another was severely injured. Please pray for the families of these soldiers who so valiantly have served their country. Pray for my husband who leaves today to return to this place. Pray for all of these guys who are there and can't be home with their families, to keep them safe and able to return home to us.

such sad news. I am humbled whenever I go on the army post and see the new recruits doing their basic training - or at the hospital after being injured during their pt. all these young folks gung ho and willing to go - that chokes me up a bit. It is not only the soldier who has to be valient and selfless but also his loved ones. God Bless these families.

You are most certainly right about that. these young men and women are gung ho and ready to go. It is something that can choke you up a bit when you give yourself the opportunity to think about it. Thanks for your support and prayers!

I would surely pray for your husband and his buddies but be sure to pray for him yourself.

I will pray for them and that your husband does not come to home. I pray that the family of the one who was killed is comforted and that the one who was wounded recovers. I also pray for all the soldiers and marines over there who are protecting the present government against insurgents and trying to bring democracy to Iraq and that they will soon returned safely to their families.

Thanks for your support and prayers. I know it means a lot to me, but it really means so much more to those who are over there in harms way!

hi mamasan! ^__^ so your husband is a soldier?? wow. it must be tough for you and your husband. just having a cop for a husband is already tough! (not based on my experience but my friend's) i'm sure you are always worried of him when he's there doing his duty. i hope that your husband will be alright and i will pray that nothing bad will happen to him and that you will both see each others soon. have faith. ^__^

Thanks for your kind words! I am very proud of my husband and those guys over there doing their jobs in harms way. My job is a small part of the story. I just don't feel that my part is as big as theirs. Thanks for your prayers adn thoughts!
