If a person don't go to jury duty, will they go to jail or do they have to pay a fine or something?

I really depends on the reason that a person does not go to jury duty. Sometinmes they will put you in jail and fine you for not showing up.

I went to jury duty this morning and the judge said that the people that had ignored their summons and didn't show up would have warrants put out for their arrest. They would then be either fined or jailed. The judge thanked those of us that did show up and told us that we had saved ourselves quite a bit of misery for the minor inconvenience incurred to hear one case. My suggestion is to show up if you get one. :)
