Vomiting Blood!

Hi there. Yesterday I was unwell and vomited twice. The second time when there was nothing left, all that was coming up was blood. After that I was grand, just hung over!! Is this normal? Why would this have happened to me? I feel concerned. My friend said that maybe I tore a line in my stomach???!! Pls advise. Regards, Sinead
