Ever have to format your computer?

Yes very frequent, maybe i have format my HD 25 times. That's most because of virus, and other because slow, and after intalling strange software. But since im using AVAST i very rare to format my HD. I think Avast is quite effective.

hello shotgunner101, yes I have format my computer a few times, usually I format it not because it was infected by virus, but because my windows system allready mess out, and it is slowed my computer perfomance significantly, althoud I have allready to fixed the system using a third party software like a pc medik, registry cleaner, etc, but there is always a few mess out that can't be repaired with those kind of application, so the best way is formating our system so it could get refresh, but the most lazyiest party is backing up our data and installing one by one application that we need to use.

yes i experienced that my computer is also reformated before. and some of my files gone.. but those important files, i told the computer technician to make a back up on my files.. causes of virus turns my computer before crazy one..

yes i have formatted my pc several times mainly coz to get rid of the virus..which crept in to the system....Ohh!1 yes definitely i lost many of my important documents initially as i wasn't aware of the backup mechanism but now i prefer having data backup rather than loosing my precious files...Who njoys formatting...???NO ONE...Well but at times you have to..I dont know the virus type that attacked my pc..but definitely some kind of virus did crippled my pc down...

At times I do have to format my PC, only when its acting weird and that it seems to be creashing... Obviously, no one enjoy formatting since its a waste of time and having to reinstall the OS back.. I will always do a backup on all my data first before formatting....

yeah not frequntly but when my pc become slower,viruses n soon then i'll format my pc... for this time being, i dont lose any important data or document cz i back up it first...usually i'll just save in at drive D: n i'll format drive C:

Several times, generally just due to system matinice. Given my system is over 10 years old I do it if it slows too much, or if there's something to suggest it needs to be done. I have NEVER had an issue with viruses, then again I always overkill on system protection.
