My mum always made pancakes covered with lemon and sugar. I make pancakes every Sunday :-) These days I still add the lemon but I cover them with more savoury things -tomatoes,onions, pickles, olives and fold them like a wrap.

Oh no, husband does not stop me from making or eating a pancake. It's just that I sometimes prefer to just make oatmeal for both of us rather than make two different breakfast. But when I crave for pancakes I do indulge myself with it. Husband prefers oatmeal because he said it makes him go which I would rather have. I wouldn't want him to miss being regular for health reason, you know?

That is a smart pancake you've got. I am always thinking of making pancakes myself but hubby would rather have oatmeals in the morning. Anyway, I'll try your toppings. It does sound tasty. :-)

Dear Jemina, when it comes to you and your pancakes then your husband should not come between you and your other love. Many a marriage has been ruined by the so called "pancake neglect syndrome". So I would advise you to go to a marriage guidance counsellor or a cakeshop and deal with this problem as soon as possible. Alternatively you could get up early in the morning and make your own pancakes :-) Have a very good week. UMart

I love peanut butter and honey together. I used to put PB on my pancakes but haven't in years. Usually, I have maple syrup, honey, or strawberry or blueberry jam.

I like butter and maple syrup. But I don't use butter anymore, as I don't need the calories. Actually, I rarely est pancakes because they aren't very nutritious themselves. So if I eat them, I stick with maple syrup, and only REAL maple syrup, not the high fructose corn syrup crap substitute.

You're right Cassidy, I also choose the real Maple syrup or better yet, I just use honey. Well, I come from the land of honey, anyway--Palawan, Philippines.

Honestly I've never had maple syrup. It's not common in Asia where I came from. It must be really good because many of those who responded here said they use it. Thank you.

I think I love cheese on my pancakes. Cheese blends very well with pancakes and if you don't have sweet tooth like me then peanut butter and honey could be something that will make me feel stuffed very easily. I also love pancakes and sometimes even butter will taste excellent. But right now I am craving for pancake with cheese. Thank you for this nice post.

I enjoy syrup just like I am figuring the next person does. I like to put butter on them. I really like blueberries and chocolate chips included in them. I like my pancakes fluffy too if they can. You know, I never thought of peanut butter and honey. That actually sounds pretty good. I think I might try it. At least with honey.

Most of the time I just love the plain ones with butter and maple syrup but I also find the cinnamon syrup really good with it. If it's "gourmet" pancakes, I love the one with banana slices, whipped cream and pecan bits.

I never thought about putting peanut butter and honey on them. That kind of sounds good. I always just put butter and syrup on them. One time I put chocolate syrup on chocolate chip pancakes for my son and he loved that. There are some very interesting choices here. I'm going to have to try some of these ideas! Thanks for sharing!

Usually I will just have syrup on my pancakes . Lately , though on my waffles I put vanilla yogurt and some strawberries and that is super good . Also , bananas are a very good topping . I am thinking about making homemade pancakes and putting blue berries on them and maybe a drop of whip cream . MMMM chocolate chips on pancakes now that is awesome and i loved it as a kid

Well, it's the fruit of the season and they are one of the best antioxidants so I believe it's real healthy to add them on pancakes.
