How many cell phones do you have? I have two (one for the both of us) Razr phones and another I bought for my dad putting three in my name and on my AT&T plan. I also have three other 'dead' phones... no two, I donated one.

I just have the one, it's a contract phone which is proving rather expensive, I hardly ever use my mobile/cell phone, just for texting or taking with me when I am driving in case of emergencies. I would rather not have a cell phone, they are too intrusive. I have cancelled my account and I am looking to get a pay as you go which will work out far cheaper for me. I never use all the gadgets on the phone anyhow so it's a waste on me!

Knowing what you need is task #1. Of course you always want to shoot for a little more than a little less (don't want to be paying overage for sure). Next is what will accomplish what it is that I need. I was manager for a kiosk who was a rep. for Cingular/At&t and we were told Pay-as-you-go is the most expensive way to go. It wasn't until when I saw they made less margin on the pay as you go AND there is no contract so they don't have you 'locked in' that I found that indeed that was a false statement from them. Good luck to you out there. Zelo

I don't have a cell phone and have yet to own one. To be honest don't see the need for it as a general rule. Now I will admit if taking a long trip it might be nice to have one but other then that I can't think of a reason for it. If someone wants to talk to me they can wait till I get home. If I need to call someone there are pay phones around for that. I see no need to be available to everyone no matter where I'm at.

Thanks for your opinion. I think that even the most rudimentary cell phone is important for anyone... what if something catastrophic happened... what if you broke down along the road or had an auto accident. There are many reasons to have cell phones and like you have stated there are many reasons not to have one... love to hear both sides.! Thanks for the response Zelo

Zip, Zero, None...In fact I've never owned a cell phone a day in my life....My husband had one but sold it several yrs ago when he was living in Canada with me becuase the charges were just insane....My kids are bugging for one each but i really see no reason for it ya know....If we lived in the city that'd be one thing but we live in the country and its not like they are at the mall every weekend or anything like that and need to get in touch with me ya know....

Wow no cell phone. They say 87% of the people at the Super Bowl today will have cell phones on them so I guess there are those that don't need them.

Every of my family member has a cellphone, except for my son as he is too little. We have one extra cellphone and it is a CDMA cellphone. As we don't use this company any more, so we give it up. My husband and I have smartphones. My parents have simple cellphones as it'll be fine for them to have a simple phone. They only make phone calls and send SMS.

I get mad with my Razr V3 and I get new one... I use voice activation system and daily schedule the most. Other than this, I needed the phone with good battery life. My Razr V3 was loosing battery life even when not in use. I never use camera or video. I may needs map use with Blackberry. I have the smallest one...Pearl I am not poser, I am practical person...I get lost so many times...

Nokia is a good brand of phone. They are the brand I had before I switched over to Motorola and I might look at the new line of phones they have out and are coming out with when it is time for me to upgrade my phone.

I have two cellphones. The other one is being used for travelling while the other for simply using it at home or when I attend any special occasions like school plays, parties and others.

That is good to have two then if one of them happens to go bad then you have a backup just in case. Very good idea to do that. That is why I keep my old phone just in case something happens to the one I have.
