If you have been up say 2 1/2 hours(i have) from 3 am to 5:30 am for example, how easy is it for you to go back to sleep? Or do you just give up and start your day? Can be any day , but since its a weekend day today let's start there.

Chibiusa and Usagi sleeping - Chibiusa and Usagi asleep
i can easily get back to sleep if i woke up within that time. even if it's already 5 in the morning, i can still go back to sleep and wait for 5:30 which is my usual waking time during weekdays. but during weekends, its much more easier because i don't have to wake up early and there's no things waiting to be done so i can stay in bed for as long as i like. ^__^

When I was young I could hardly get into sleep again if I was awakened in the night. I hated the tiredness the following day due to the insufficient sleep. It was really irritating if someone waked me up to take supper or other things else. But now I could easily fall asleep again if I were to be waked up at anytime at night.

It depends if I have an appointment early in the day. I always have problems sleeping. It's like my brain won't shut down. If I wake up around that time, I usually don't feel sleepy anymore. My tendency is just to start the day. Late in the afternoon then I would feel sleepy.

Well, I suppose that kind of depends on what caused me to wake up at that time of the morning in the first place. If its because I have something on my mind, I probably would stay up and play on the computer until I am too exhausted to care anymore, but if I got up for a specific reason (I can't imagine what that might be, but all the same) then I would probably stay up for the remainder of the day.

I really find it hard to sleep back assuming that is the situation. In my case I will just give and start the day. I have experience that set up before. However, given that kind of scenario, most likely I will be taking a nap at around 1 or 3 pm to compensate for the lost time of sleep.

It usually depends on how long I'll have to sleep again if I go back to sleep. I have no trouble getting back to sleep, especially if I've been woken up earlier. I do have trouble getting back up less than an hour or 2 later, so I gauge it on that.

I always choose sleep -- or at least laying in bed very still.

well.. i get a hard time going back to sleep. like for example, i'm asleep and then my wife wakes me up to check on something -- i can not sleep anymore. i'll be up till the sun comes up. so my wife knows better than to wake me up for just a very unimportant matter. but if the situation cannot be avoided, i usually just stay in bed and watch tv. or switch on my pc and check whatever it is that i can check.
