You said it - sad and disappointed and somewhat unsure who will get my vote. I was really surprised that he dropped out when he did. I thought he'd stick it out at least until after Super Tuesday but I heard he didn't want to be "spoiler" and impact the race in that way. I don't think we've seen the last of him, though.

Thanks for your response anniepa. I hope you are right about "not seeing the last of him". I feel if the media had focused on him as much as the other two so people could focus on what he had to say he may still be in this race today Super Tuesday. I know it is an opportunity to make history with a woman and African american running I just don't think the issues were focused on like they should have been. Or perhaps are the people not focusing on the issues, just a thought! The other two canidates are fine canidates I just think John was much better , had more passion, was more sincere, had better solutions and learned from prior mistakes he had made. It will be a close race this evening on the Democratic side.

I agree, the media didn't give him a chance. I heard that Elizabeth Edwards had said that very thing a day or two before he pulled out. I've said this on other posts here so at the risk of repeating myself, I remember in 2004 quite a few of my friends who were Republicans had said if Edwards were the Democratic nominee they'd have voted for him. As it was, they either didn't vote or voted for Bush while holding their noses. YUCK! I like the fact that history is being made, I'm thrilled that my grandkids, ages 11 and 13 already feel it's totally "normal" for an African American man and a woman to be front-runners in the Presidential election but I sure am disgusted by the poor timing for the Edwards camp. My mom, 91, my brother, 70 and I, 55 are all rather left-leaning Democrats and we were all planning on voting for Edwards in our primaries if he'd still be in it. As I said, I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him. I also said somewhere else here that even if the next President gets two terms Edwards will still be 10 years younger than McCain is now so he's got plenty of time for another run or two.

Yes I was sad to hear that he Quit I feel if he would have stayed he had a great chance of winning. I know the media didn't give him no air time it was all Hillary and Obama and I don't feel that was fair to him, if he would have stayed I would have voted for him and probably a lot of undecided people would have too. Have a great day!

I wish that John Edwards was still in the race. I think that the government should pay for candidates campaigning, this would make it a race on who was liked more, not who had more money
