Poetry for you

I have no wish to write poetry for you. If it were my choice I would not think of you Would purge you from my mind Destroying every last reminder Of your existence in my life In my dreams In my affections. If it were my choice I would not speak to you Would not speak of you Ignoring every last memory Until there was nothing left No dreams to dream No emotions to torment. But it is not my choice For my mind does not control Any of these things And so I remember I cherish I write. Thanks for reading my poetry, folks! :)

Did you write that for me? Very nice and I'm in that kind of mood a bit today- :( I really enjoyed reading that Lecanis.

I can't pull the wool over your eyes, huh, skinnychick? Sorry to hear you're in that kind of mood today, though it's kind of neat that our moods were so similar. I'm glad you enjoyed my poem! Thanks for responding... I think that's the fastest I've ever gotten a response to a poem here! I feel special! :)

You should feel special my dear. Yeah it's a poopie day and my Saturday night wasn't as great as I had hoped but still fun. I just am pretty emotional right now- over some happenings last night! Ughhh! Hope our day gets better, I'm sure to get a good laugh on my lot today. Hopefully.

Sorry to hear you had a bad night! Mine was actually pretty decent, involving lots of fire and dancing (religious holiday!), but today just isn't doing it for me.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. As I was first reading I though oh now how depressing this sounded and almost started to cry it concerned me so much. But I am so happy to read the ending. The sign of a truely wonderful poem - it effects the emotions of the reader. Job well done my friend.

Thank you. It's nice to hear that my poem is so effective. I should be sad to think I have the power to make people cry, but I enjoy crying over a good sad poem sometimes myself, so I guess that's okay. Thanks for reading!

I wish I could cry more easily like that. I usually totally freak out before I get around to crying, though I can cry at movies or book sometimes. I don't think I've ever cried at a tv commercial though! :P

Well, personally I think that crying is an excellent stress reliever - but then I am a crier, cry when sad, cry when mad, cry when happy, cry at the drop of a hate. My kids hate it - I even cry on some TV commercials. You just keep writing those poems :)

I really enjoy reading your poems lecanis. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that that we can identify if not now at some point in our lives. Please keep sharing with us.

Oh it's beautiful! Are you ever going to write a poetry book? You really should. You could save all of these wonderful poems you have been writing here and then put them in a book. I'll bet you could make money from it!

I've been planning on it, but it keeps getting pushed back because things come up! I'm working on it, though. I have a general one I'm putting together now, but choosing the specific poems for it, and then I have a "theme" one planned eventually as well.

You are pretty good at writing poetry Lecanis. Although I dont think you real feel the way you are writing as I know you are already working on controlling your thoughts and you said above you are in a pretty good mood. Feel free to post more poems!

Haha, my quick mood changes strike again, actually. I was feeling really good last night, and then this morning felt like writing this poem... and now I'm working on a short story and in a positive mood again. I think getting responses to my poem so quickly perked my mood up quite a bit, actually. ;) I'm glad to hear you liked my poem, and I'll definitely be posting more. :)

This was amazing. Great job lecanis! I came across this by accident after posting my own poetry here. While very very different from yours I think it could very well have been written for the same type of person. Kudos to you!
