i am currently using vista and i am wondering if mac os is faster than vista when it comes to using apps and browsing in your computer and runing games. i always wanted to try a mac but many softwares and games are not made for mac. what made me think of mac is the idea that macs are a lot faster than windows operating system. if this is the case, then i would not hesitate to buy a mac notebook pro right away. i just need an unbias oppinion from a truly reputable source or just a person who has an experience from these operating systems.

This time last year I had just bought my first Mac. Along with other comments here I believe that it has to do with the configuration of your system. That said, Mac OS X Leopard (the lastest version of the Mac OS) is without doubt cleaner, more reliable, more intuitive and just sexier than Vista. I spent 15 years using Windows and got to expect and accept the lock ups, crashes, viruses and long way round to solve a problem that comes with Microsoft. Heck, Vista comes in 4 versions, Leopard just the one (and for a lower price). This may amuse you: http://tinyurl.com/28yfmh It says all that you need to know about Vista.

I think that the mac os is faster because I have heard people talk about it and they say that it isn't extremely fast but it is faster than the other systems that they have used in the past...I personally have windows vista and the whole time I have had windows vista I have had nothing but headaches and it is extremely slow and I actually ask a few guys that worked at a few stores that sold computers and they said the same thing that you need so many megabytes I think of memory and something else and my computer didn't have those(but when they sold me my laptop they had vista on it which I found weird because why wouldnt they have that on the laptop already)and the computers that had enough to run vista fast was like a thousand dollars!
