Dixie Chicks: Not Ready to Make Nice

Who else thinks they are still jerks? Also, who doesn't feel sorry for the ridicule they have received? Personally, I think they asked for it, and got what the wanted.

They did. They asked for it. They went too far. Even though I'm not a big bush supporter or anything I don't think celebrities in general should make public remarks about politics. It skews their fans perceptions of political topics and that could cause problems come election time.

I actually really like that song, but I dedicate it to my ex. Not Natalies beef with Toby Keith. LoL

I never cared for them from the beginnning. I think Natalie Maines sings through her nose. I think they dug a deep hole when they spouted off the way they did. They'll not soon get back in the good graces of country music fans. I think the disrespected more than just the president, (Who I don't care for either) but to do it on foreign soil, was just out of line.

I can't say that I feel sorry for them because they did say that they were ashamed of the president on stage infront of thousands of people and they had to know that word would leak back to the people....I mean you don't do that because they had to know that out of thousands of people at the concert that they were performing at that someone in the audience would go back and tell someone and then that someone would go back and tell someone else and that the word would be spread like a wildfire! I dont think they thought it would happen like that though!
