My friend has an 11 year old son, who was backtalking today and I well put him in his place. She asked us to help her with him. She asked him 5 times last night to go to bed. Then she told him no candy bar, then he slowly pulled it out and was eating anyway. I told him HEY your mom said NO. She said what? I said hes eating that and you told him not to..She yelled at him. How far is a kid just acting out normally? Or just doing it cause he likes to see the negatives reactions normal? Thats my question! Ya he was going back and forth telling me no I was wrong I said thats it! Just stop it!If you reply again then thats backtalking an adult and I am not gonna have it!He shutup! His mom gave me a thumbs up!

that kid is reacting so stragely, perhaps he is just sizing up ur patience on him..and perhaps he is just lack of attention..so u better asure him that u have ur attention on him

lol patience me, well maybe with my 15 month old..Not much rein tho!Hes smart because of this today I asked him to bring me something and he did. Then hubby told him to hand him his cup..so he did. Don't usually have to say things more than once to him. Plus, because of his age I am not giving him much if any patience for the 11year old. I know its a test and hes not gonna get the upper hand. I won't let him!

If she does not get control of him soon, then she will loose him completely. Right now he is testing the preteen waters. It is normal. But if she ignores this testing, he will stop testing and just start doing whatever he wants whenever he wants. He will soon be too big to stop. If he does not learn respect for her now, he will not learn respect for her when he is bigger than she is. Shalom~Adoniah

Ya hes like this all the time.Shes asking us for help! So, I am nice as far as it goes. But, I will not stand for games that are uncalled for. Especially when he knows better, I can tell he does his dad taught him better he respects him. But, when hes here or at home hes a troublemaker.
