I have a kidney stone and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get rid of it that was painless?

I feel your pain! I have passed a bunch of kidney stones. The best thing to do is drink gallons of water and get into a recliner that raises your feet above your head. If you do not have one, then put something under the foot of your bed that makes it higher than the head of your bed and get on the bed. The idea is to get the pressure of the stone off the blockage and let the urine pass. This helps it break up and pass faster. No matter what you do it still feels like forever I know, but it will end. Shalom~Adoniah

It really depends on the size of the stone. I had one the diameter of a dime in my left kidney several years ago, and because of it's size, I couldn't pass it, and had to have a lithrotripsy, which is a procedure where they aim sound waves into the stone, the waves are synchronized with your heart rate. It was basically painless, because I was knocked out for that procedure, and then I just basically passed sand in my urine that was the remnants of the stone. If it is a small stone, usually doctors will just tell you it will pass on it's own. I have hard that can be very painfull. I don't know if there is anything that can help you out there.
