An Internet Browser program called Avant - Better than Internet Explorer

For a long time I have been using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I don't like Internet Explorer much because for one it is not fast enough to load pages and I get the times where it hangs on pages. Then again there are those Internet Explorer errors that pop up and has encountered a problem - this happens most of the time when using Skype VOIP program. I use Mozilla Firefox - I like this browser too, but it doesn't work well when needed if I try to use it on Mylot or Yuwie. Sometimes sites will hang also - I have installed FasterFox which is suppose to tweak the performance of loading web pages - I'd say 65% of the time it does and the rest I don't see much of a difference. But then I came across Avant - this Internet Browser free source is much much better and I do recommend it. More faster in loading pages especially here on Mylot and no hassles when I'm using it on Yuwie. If you haven't tried it I suggest you give it a try. Has any of you ever used Avant? I know this open source has been around for a while, but it's a good thing I came across it.

No, this is the first time Ive heard of it. Im always leery to try something new. As for myself I think I'll stick with Explorer. My big change this year was getting Windows Vista which once you get used to it isn't that bad. At first I was hating it.

As a PC Tech I do recommend Avant Browser - works well on high speed broadband connections. So far after using these for 4 days I have not had any issues of websites hanging. About Windows Vista, no comment I know what you mean.

Yeah I feel you on Internet Explorer. I'm not a big fan of it either. Sometimes having free open sources does the trick and better speed always works. Thanks for the comment

I have not heard of Avant. Sounds new to me, but I will let some of my friends and some of the techs here know about that to give it a try. So far the other browsers that you mentioned Internet Explorer and Firefox is highly used and populated when people go online for the surfing habits on the web. But some people here also have had problems opening Internet Explorer and has had problems with some of the errors you have mentioned. So in that to say they prefer Firefox better and I do too. I can let you know about Avant when they come across that source.

Thanks a lot and I appreciate that. So far I have not come across issues using it. And it's true, the pages do load fast and I haven't even installed any add-on features while using it. The layout is different and easy to use. I hope they like the program when they come across it.
