hi.. since i saw iron will when i was small, i dream of having a siberian husky... and i found out that they are quite expensive... and friend had suggested to buy a pet fish instead. i am so sad to hear that. could anyone recommend something about owning one...coz i will be saving up for one. thank you so much!

I owned a husky. They are beautiful animals! I also have worked with a few huskys. I think it is a great breed and you should defenitaly get one.
I don't know how much money you have to spend, but there are ways you can rescue a husky without spending a lot.
A great site you should check out (I actually think I already helped another mylotter find a pet with this site) is www.petfinder.com. You can search for specfic breeds, ages, gender, location. It tells you a good description of each pet, and usually has pictures. All these animals are in shelters or foster homes.

Hi :) I just decided to search for the breed that I like. And I found this BEAUTIFUL dog that is in desperate need to find someone. This dog is in Chadds Ford, PA, but I think you can have a pet sent to you if you don't live in the same area. I think you should really join this site! I have an account and love it. Isn't this dog beautiful!?!

hi... thank you so much for the links... hmmm... this is way cheaper than buying a puppy...they are so so adorable...hehehe... but i think i have to wait until i can relocate within a year. i never have a pet dog and this will be my first... and i am afraid of dogs...hahahha... how ironic... would you recommend a husky for me? i am not an aggressive person and of medium build... hehehe... could i hug my husky without the fear of being bitten? hahaha... hope to hear from you...

oh! so you are a first time dog owner, and kind of nervous around them? Huskys are beautiful dogs, and they can be GREAT pets--but I'm not sure I would recommend this dog as your first, given your situation X.X They can also be very independent, unpredictable and spontaneous.
The breed I am going to recommend to you may be odd, because this dog is quite large! But they are the SWEETEST breed and very gentle. They are called Great Pyrenees. Here is a link to one that is in urgent need of a home. She looks dirty in her pictures, but great pyrenees' have the most beautiful coats when clean!!

Might I also suggest that you get an ADULT dog as opposed to 'puppy' and 'young.' Adult dogs will most likely be more calm and easy to deal with for you. Adult age can be 4-5+, still young-but matured!!!
