the Las Vegas Sun. Here's the general idea. A tow truck driver works on commission and receives an order to go tow a car illegally parked in a neighborhood or wherever. While he is there, he sees other cars parked illegally and either calls other drivers or tows all these calls right quick to an empty lot nearby. He then calls for help and all the cars get towed to the impound lot. The police may not be notified for a few days, so the impound fees add up. And it may take you a while to figure out your car wasn't stolen, just impounded. If you want your car back, you pay. They also like older cars because by the time the fees add up, the owner figures the car isn't worth the fees. The owner signs over the title and the company gets the car for scrap or auction. New Jersey and Illinois already have laws in effect that prevent this from happening. So beware of parking your car illegally..... whit .

Well, that is something that wasn't covered in the article. So now they are lurking around banks on paydays? Thanks for responding....Whit
