When you read your newspaper, what day seems to have the most help wanted ads?

For some reason, Sunday seems to have the most help wanted ads. I think it's because people actually have time and spend more time reading the paper on that day. Is there a lot of work in your area? We seem to have many ads where we live, but what you don't see from the paper is that 20 to 100 people apply for each position. We really don't have very many jobs here compared to the number of people who are out of work.

Sunday would definitely be the day. It's been awhile since I looked in the paper for jobs. Most often I check online if I am interested in seeing what's out there. I have a part time job and am real content with it. The pay isn't real good and I don't need benefits so it's good for what I need and want. At my age think I need to stay right where I am and enjoy my time for there is no idea how much longer I will be able to work. Don't have any clue what the unemployment rate is in our area. We are in a big city so there are lots of jobs out there. McDonald's is always hiring..lol

I'm extremely content with my job. It's pretty much a no brainer and I get to mingle and deal with live people verses a cat and dog when I'm home....lol I sure understand what you mean when you mention low pay. Have a good day, carolbee
