when we need to format our computer?

I wondering if these a period that we must formating to our computer like after 1 year or 2 years. i have read an article say that every 3 month or less, 1 virus born and ready to attack our computer, maybe some powerful antivirus can handdle this, but most of us only know our computer been affected when the computer has problem. We can still use a antivirus but our file maybe been mess out, so are we need to format our computer just when the problem come or we must formating it if 1,2 or 3 year we use it? any idea of this..

I have decided that I will reformat my hard drive every two years. The reason for this is, you get a fresh start and it's healthy for your computer. As you probably know, carry out all your backups first. You will notice the difference once you format your computer, it will run a lot faster. You don't necessarily have to have any problems in order to format your computer. The only downside to this is, after you have reinstalled windows you have to visit the Microsoft website and get all the relevant security updates. This is a very tiny issue though. Goodluck Andrew

I am formating my computer mostly once a month. If you are using windows, your commputer is getting slowlier and slowlier each day. And the most effective way to help is to format the computer. It does not depends on a virus or not. I do not know the english word for, but there is a file, getting larger and larger and makes your computer slowly.

once a month that tough huh.. for me i try 3 to 6 month, it is because i do a lot of thing in my computer i'm using graphic software, audio and video software and other program. i have to write down the basic installation what i really need just like upgrade the directX, install a commprasion tool, install a microsoft office package, install a video and audio player and some of the internet tools after do the formating, so this process take a time for me.

If we have good Antivirus, we dont need to formating your computer. Since i use Avast i'd rather longer not formating my HD.
Because long time ago when i dont use good antivirus or my database av not update that was my computer infected by virus.
But also when my character is like to deleting files so that my computer not operating so well. so i had to format my computer.
If you go online your computer you must have 3 protection.
1. Antivirus
2. Antispyware
3. Firewall
