Petting a Cheetah!

As some of you might know, I went to South Africa recently. I got back this last weekend and whilst I was there at a game sanctuary, I got to pet a cheetah! She and her brother had been abandoned at birth and didn't learn the skills they needed to survive in the wild, so they're taken care of in a large enclosure. The male was still not happy about being stroked, but the female was really sweet. They even purr like - well, big cats! She especially liked my partner and kept licking his hands. They were such beautiful creatures, I feel really lucky!

Wow, you are so lucky! What a vacation you are having! I love all of the large cats, they are so beautiful and powerful. That's so cool that you got a picture too.

You are sooo lucky! I would love to do that! I love all the big cats; tigers, lions, cheetahs, lynx, etc! They are all so amazingly beautiful! Uh oh...sounds like she's trying to steal your man! lol. =D

It was wonderful and I am really lucky. Big cats are so beautiful. I'm a cat lover anyway, but they're so amazing and awe inspiring!

They sure are..I am so concerned for the wildlife of this world..If we don't get off our butts and get our environmental issues sorted out.....
I don't know..It may be too late already...
The polar bears are in real danger and what regal creatures they are...Everytime an animal goes extinct it gets closer to the human animal's extinction...

It upsets me a lot too. Seeing such wonderful creatures really brings it closer to home. They're not just some faraway mythical creatures. They're real, beautiful animals that need protection. xxxx
