That one song...

Do you have that one song that every time you hear it, you just have to stop what you are doing and listen to the words, the music? Whether it has any special meaning to you or not, you just have to stop and listen. I just went through all my cd's and alphabetized them. Then of course, there were some old ones that I just had to put in my rotation. There's this one song I just have to stop and listen to it, no matter if I have company or what I'm doing. What about you? Ever have a song like that?

Yes, I like Jose Mari Chan's Constant Change a lot and almost all his songs but Constant Change has a great impact on me. It also reminds me a lot of memories -with my father, in high school, in college and even with my partner now.

Isn't it amazing how one song can take us through so many ventures in our life and it just stays there with us. Thanks for posting and have a good evening!

two songs by Eric Clapton do that- Tears In Heaven and Wonderful Tonight. They are just such great songs! Another song that I stop to hear is called "Strange and Beautiful" by Aqualung. Not sure what it is about them but I always get quiet to hear them.

I am not familiar with Aqualung, but both of those songs by Eric Clapton are definitely great songs. You have really good taste in music. Thanks for posting and have a great day!

Well yes, I do have one like that. Especially when the songs makes me feel like floating in mid-air, something that makes me feel inspired and/or teary-eyed. I even look for that song's lyrics, search for another copy of it on the internet then I'll put it into a special CD. I also search for it's chords, on how I could play it on my guitar and maybe strum it by myself.

Being a musician yourself, you probably have an even deeper relationship with the words and music than the rest of us. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Oh man, I have several of those songs that I just stop in my tracks and turn it up loud and listen to it. I also have some that I will rotate for the longest. I have a casette tape also that my daughter did several years ago at the fair and it was so pretty, that is one that I can listen to over and over also.
