Ron Paul as third-Party candidate

Since it appears that Ron Paul gets no respect in the Republican Party and it seems very likely that he will not get the nod on Super Tuesday. Shouldn't he just announce himself as a third Party candidate and get it out of the way?

This is a very interesting approach. Surprising he won all of the votes by text messages after the debates. I think it's a good suggestion, I just wonder how he can afford to stay in the race.

Money is not an issue because of all of the support generated money bombs to his campaign. Almost 20 million in the last quarter and 5 million in one day. I am hoping that his strategy was to hold on to the cash to announce that he will run third Party and he will have the funds in his war chest to be able to campaign in the general election.
