We have joined a marching jazz band.

My new years resolution was to spend more quality time with my 2 daughters (aged 4&5) as since my son was born 4 months ago I never seem to have much time for my older children. 3 weeks ago we joined a marching jazz band and we are loving it. It gives us something to enjoy as a family and is also teaching my daughters discipline and learning a new skill too.

I think that it is realyl great that you have joined a marching jazz band to have a little more time with your kids...I think that is what more of the world needs to do is spend more time with their kids and show them that they really love them! I think that it would be kind of fun to join a marching band that is jazz I have never heard of one of these before...but again I think that it is really cool what you are doing....and you are doing it to be able to spend more time with your kids...Thank you!!!!

I was in marching bands as a teenager and I really enjoyed it. I wanted a hobby for my children that would teach them a skill as well as being fun for all 3 of us. We have been marching around the house all week. I love the 2 sessions a week and both of my children seem to enjoy the time away from the day to day home life.
We get to take part in carnivals and compete against other local jazz bands too.
