Do you get it on a regular basis or is it rare and treasured every time? I have 2 kids and a husband and I find it very rare to get me time! I try to at least once a week but it is very hard!!!In the summer I get more time because I bike so I can go off on my own more than just once and a while but now that it is winter and I hate to be cold it is very rare.

Good question. When I was younger and busy raising my family and running an in-home daycare, I barely ever got 'me time' It was really difficult at times. My hubby helped out when he could, which wasn't alot, because he was also trying to succeed in business. Now that I am a little older, the kids have moved out. The daycare is no more and I am a granma of 4. I get plenty of 'me time'. And I truly am enjoying it. I do like just my own company,..sometimes. Then I visit the kids and my friends when I have had enough of just me!

LOL I guess thats how it is when you are raising a family. You have to Sacrific your own time to help your kids grow up to be great kids!!!!thanks for the response

AHHHHHHHHH! Me time I have a vague but fond memory of that. That's when I actually had time to give myself a facial, polish my nails, do more to my hair then just push it up in a pony tail or put on make up which I still have around here somewhere if it hasn't turned to dust by now. No, no me time for me anymore. I have a husband, a home to care for and a 3 year old and a three month old. I used to get a bit of me time in the shower or the bathroom, before my son could walk and talk but now I have a little one pounding on the door saying...Mommy what are you doing in there...let me innnnnnn!!!

I spend most of my time with other people as even if it's just me, my PCA is usually with me. I also go out with friends a lot, or to events, so it's more people time than me time. However, I am alone from 4-5 everyday and from 9-10 everyday, most days. I really value that time as if I had to spend every minute with someone, I would kill them or kill myself. Of course I'm exaggerating, but not by much. It can be a challenge to be a person in need of support who also needs time by themselves. Cell phones help this immensely.

Every day. I need my own personal time away from everybody and the noise. We have three loud and lively dogs that get in the way. And two are puppies. I get annoyed sometimes from their chewing and barking. So when I'm not using the computer I just go to my room to get away from all of that.

Everyday! My me time is a long relaxing bubble bath with soft music, candle and an occassional cocktail. My family and business life if very busy so it doesn't afford my hours or days at a time. Every couple of months I will get online and find a really cheap flight and hotel room to go somewhere for the weekend. Not everybody can do this for either financial reasons or most people don't like to travel alone. But if its ME time, I can do it all by myself.
