Why do people have weird habits?

I think that weird only applies to one's own individual dictionary. Some of my habits others call weird are perfectly sane and normal to me. And other people's habits when explained to me make perfect sense. An area for extensive debate I guess!

I really don't think we should question anybody else's habits. We should only be concerned with our own, for we know our own reasons, and they know theirs. Live and let live in other words... if a person seems to be behaving weirdly and it troubles you, maybe ask if you can help them with anything and if not, let it go. We all have our own ways of coping with and doing things, my friend. Brightest Blessings.

I think what's weird to one person is normal to another! what prompted you to make this discussion? did you see someone doing something weird habitually ? lol. My huby has some weird habbits, but they are more annoying then weird i guess, like leaving his crap all over the table when he empties his pockets!

if you think as weird as being different from the rest of the people, i think that it is because most people like to be part of a group, and yet have "their" style. this makes others sometimes copy the initially weird habits of others, making them normal, and giving others a reason to find something "new", repeating the process.

of course weirdnesses are different to each of us, some things are just genuinly regaurded as weird but most of the time it is the environment we were brought up in and know the habits we see in our lives and the countries that we live in that contribute to the biggest difference, each person is different it makes everyday an adventure.
