I imagine I'll be on my front porch in my rocking chair with one of my favorite quilts I've made. I'll be watching my grown children playing chase with their daughters and the sun will be shining really really hot. What's your future look like?

I don’t want to make it till 90. I want to be gone by 60/65. knowing myself, I don’t think I can lead a very active life after that. And to be practical (as I think it to be) the children wont be by my side all the time and if my hubby is gone too, I will be all on my own. I don’t think I can manage it that very well at that age. Whatever be it, I don’t want to be a burden on anyone.

I have seen many people in their 80/90's who can bearly move and are suffering from illness. I am doing whatever I can to stay healthy and finacially stable. At this present cause, at 90 I will be cross country skiing, travel, enjoy my family. The important this is the 'self full-filling prophesy'...if I imagine myself sick and old..that is what I will end up being! Are you doing anything to help yourself stay healthy and finacial stable for your old age? If so, what?

I imagine a more active future than that. I am staying active. I plan to stay that way, luck willing. I want to be out there as well skipping with my grandchildren. Not sitting in a rocker watching the fun pass me up. Could do with a bit of sun, too. Wish me luck.

You have a very very good point. You're right we need to be more active. I now imagine myself playing with my children and grandchildren as well. :) I do want to sit down and quilt sometimes though.

Oh dear I can honestly say this is something I have never really thought about, I am not sure I like the thought of being 90, even though I might be lucky enough to reach that age one day! But I guess I hope to see myself being still active and have my own mind, with my children still coming to see me with their children, to be financially secure and not have to worry about having the heating on, or whether I have enough money to eat, and to just enjoy whatever time I have left in peace!!
