Have you ever looked for someone?

So I am a member in another forum and I have found out that some of the members there are also members here. I have asked them what their username is in mylot and I have searched them out by putting their names in the search bar above and clicked the mylot, not the discussions or web, and hit the search button. Low and behold there profile page came up. I then requested their friendship and when they accepted I sent them a PM to tell them who I am and that we are friends in another forum. I use a different username there than here, this is why I PMed them to let them know who I was. I am now going into their profiles and I am responding to a lot of their discussions to help them earn more money here.
Have you ever found that some of your friends in another forum are here in mylot too? Have you searched for them and added them to your friend list? Would you like to? Have I helped you with another thing in mylot you didn't know about before?

well, I usually know my friends' usernames from themselves. I am also a member in another forum and when I know that they are also members here, I ask their username in myLot.
I didn't use the search bar to find them, I assumed they have typed their username correctly, so I accessed the "invite new friends" menu at the left panel of the page, and simply enter their myLot username at the bottom part of the invite page.

Yes I always do that with Yuwie, if my friends are on here then I will look for them over at Yuwie, trouble is they trick me as they don't always have the same name they use here as they do on Yuwie, so many times I've done searches on Yuwie but haven't been able to find them, so I pm them here on Mylot and find out it's a totally different name LOL! I am wolfie on Yuwie too which makes me easy to find, I like to keep the same name throughout to make it easy for others to find me.

Oh yes, I have looked for friends on different message boards, etc. It is always great to find some names you recognise. Some people however change their screenname from stie to site either on purpose or having no choice, which makes them harder to find. I am a good example. On just about every other board I belong to, I am laurieluvsliason. Mylot for some strange reason would not accept that name on the day I applied here, so alas I am liasonfan to ya'all here! Thanks for starting this discussion--great topic!
