I was born and raised in Torrance California. I am now in the Army and stationed at Fort Drum, NY. In my travels I have been stationed in Arizona, Texas, Kentucky, Florida and spent my time deployed to Afghanistan. So where are you from and how far from home are you now?

I was born and raised in Brooklyn,NY. I got married and movied to Indiana, that's where he was from. I got divorced and moved to KY where I am now, because my family had moved down here, so I came here to join them. I've been here 8 years now, got married and have two little ones. So, I am pretty far from home, although I have come to thin of KY as my home now, my roots are here and here is where I am hoping they will stay. My husband was in the army. He was stationed in Carolina, then San Antonio, the in Fort Campbell. Then they sent him overseas to Germany. Where are you now, are you back home? I sure do hope so. God Bless you for your service and protection.

I'm still at Fort Drum in upstate New York. I am getting out of the Army in April for the birth of my second child in June. I will be going back to Cali and then to Fort Bragg, NC with my husband. Thanks for your support.

I am back home now but I was married to a guy in the army and I stayed on Fort Meade no matter where he got stationed which was only 200 miles away from my home. I work for Tricare now and it amazes me how spouses deal with being without their husbands and wives for years at a time while the service member is on tour.

The biggest problem I'm having right now is what I'm going to do when I get out. I'm trying to find a legit work from home job but it's not working. I just can't wait to have time with my kids.

I was born in Kent in the UK. Then I moved to a different area of Kent when I grew up. I went around the world and married an Australian so I lived in Brisbane for a while. Then I went to university in Wales. I spent my first year of teaching in Milton Keynes then moved back to Kent. Two and a half years ago I moved to Somerset. So I am less than 500 miles away from my original home. It must have been quite interesting not to mention scary living in Afghanistan. Perhaps the nicest place you have been stationed would be Florida.

I am currently in Littleton, Colorado. I was born in Longmont, Colorado, grew up in Lyons, Colorado. When I was in the 6th grade I moved to a ranch in Wyoming outside of Wheatland, for 2 years, then we moved to Stratton, Colorado, in the southeast corner of the State for 2 years. I spent 4 years in Lincoln, Nebraska, and after a year at the University there I hitchhiked around the Southwest for a couple of years. I spent several months in Tucson, Arizona, and several more in Phoenix, Arizona. Then I was in Palmdale, California, and later moved on to Crested Butte, Colorado. From there I went back to Lincoln, Nebraska, and University. I stayed in Lincoln for a long time, lived in Ashland, Nebraska, back to Lincoln until 6 years ago when I left Lincoln for Denver, Colorado. After 6 months I moved to Elbert, Colorado for a year and then back to Denver for another year and then the Littleton, Colorado, where I currently reside.

You seem to be enjoying an interesting life. Tell us more about your deployment in Afghanistan. I was born in Malta, but I lived in London for five years. 52 years ago I came to Australia. I am still here, far away from Malta. I love it here all my family is here now. We call ourselves Maltese Australians. I have never heard of Torrance. I have been to California twice. Driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles , there are some beautiful places. I stayed at THE WESTIN BONAVENTURE in LA. It was a great hotel. Best Wishes.
