Children are said to be gullible in nature. They tend to easily believe what other people are saying.
I remember when I was young, my father use to say don't eat the seeds of the fruits if you don't want it to grow inside your stomach. And because I am still young at that, I do believe him, every time I eat fruits with seeds I try to remove first the seed, especially those seeds that are very small. But there goes one time, when I eat santol, I forgot and have swallowed a seed, I cried a lot because I thought it will grow inside my stomach, but then I found out it will just come out with the waste from your body when you have your bowel movement, what a fool I am to believe what my father said.
Now, my nieces are living with us, they use to imitate my sister all the time, when my sister use make-up they also use it, and in taking a bath they also observe. One time when they were taking a bath they notice my sister was using a stone to rub her skin to remove the dirt and dead cells in her body. One of my niece asked, is that what you use to make your skin white? Then my sister said "yes". Now it made us laugh because my niece take long time when she takes a bath because she always use the stone to rub her skin thinking it will really enhance her complexion.
How about you guys, what are your experiences during childhood that shows gullibility.
I am interested to know.

My grandfather always used to give me a dollar every time he came to see me. Then after awhile he started giving me the dollar then pulling out a shiny quarter and asking me which one I wanted. The beat up tattered old dollar or the shiny new quarter? It never failed I picked the quarter every time until I learned the value of money. lol

I think your grandfather is really sure you will choose the quarter so he always have the confidence to let you choose. I wonder if you ever did choose the dollar, what he'll do, do you think he will give it to you? :-)
