Okay once again I'm at it again, and poking fun at myself with another singing attempt over at SingSnap...They didn't have the song on their list there, so I had to have two browsers open at the same time....one to YouTube with the song itself (with lyrics) and then another browser to record at SingSnap and try to synchronize things.
The song listed is NOT the one I'm singing...LOL....It's the "NOW WE ARE FREE" sung by Lisa Gerrad and it from the soundtrack from Gladiator. I LOVE this song and it's even on my playlist on my profile page.
I haven't a clue what language I'm singing in...LOL...It starts off with "Anol Shalom"...uh, Hebrew?? I want to re-record it again as I know it could be better but since this was about my fourth attempt at it, didn't want to press my luck with a lousier version...The fast part of the song killed me...

Okay to turn this into a discussion...What are some of the things you've done to poke fun at yourself...In other words have you done anything similar that is asinine or just plain silly?

Maybe you need professional recording studio...hmmm....I am not music expert, but sounds like American Idol wanna be person...with medium score....not bad...lol
I have to admire you for trying. I may sound like broken microphone for sure....

Unfortunately for now I just rely on the built in microphone in the computer..would love to get a more pro type mircophone...wouldn't have a clue how to hook it up...and yeesh, they aren't cheap.

Pye, that was great! I loved it. And I had absolutely no idea these things existed! Talk about being a dinosaur - that's me for sure. Hey, do you think my hubby can hook up his ham radio mike to the 'puter so I could do that? Would be such a gas!!!!

Ok, I'm gonna talk to hubby about it tomorrow. We'll see what he says. I love karoake and I'd love to do it right here at home and in front of the whole friggin world! And all my Lot friends could be tortured by my real voice. lololol

Cna think of anything I have done lately to poke fun of mysself as I am being careful.
I know I have walled into alot of walls cuttting corner short ouch that hurts tha shoulder lol

I wish I knew what I was saying too..LOL...It's in another language and I had the lyrics but the language, whatever it was was spelled out phonetically --so no idea

have to post this again, the first time it didn't get posted.
not bad you sing that song it's in your vocal range.
about the silly thing I did, the one I remember clearly was taking driving license test without reading a single thing or train myself about driving. Of course I failed. First of all, I didn't read the book, then each country has different regulation and the last time I drove was 10 yrs ago I almost killed myself avoiding an animal crossing the street!
The cop asked me which part of the book I read. I asked her which part should I read. She said "oh what about everything?" (of course DUH!) I never go back there again, not until I read and get my husband train me a little bit :) I don't know what got into me that day

I still have to learn how to drive eventually...groan..comes the day I do, I hope I don't give my driving instructor a nervous breakdown...LOL

Yet another great performance my friend! I'm not brave enough to do something like that LoL! The gutsiest thing I have done to poke fun at myself is put up my pic on my profile lol. I really like it, pyewacket, although it is my first time hearing it. I've never seen Gladiator but I hope to see it one day. So many movies, so little time, lol. Once again, I must say that there seems to be very little that you can't do. You could have had any career you chose.

Then run, don't walk and get Gladiator by all means, I highly recommend it...it has Russell Crowe in it as the "gladiator" Maximus

Hi pyewacket,
That was great. Congratulations on singing in an unknown language. I really loved the fast part, even though 'it was so difficult for you.' I can't think of anything I've done just recently, but over a year ago, I fell in my own living room, and couldn't get up. I tripped over a box, and went sailing through the air. My daughter had to call for the paramedics, so that they could get me on my feet. I really was embarassed, not to mention all the pain I caused myself.:( Am looking forward to your next performance.:)

I just hope I don't fall...lOL...late at night when I have to go to the bathroom, my one cat Kissy has a habit of needing to feel she needs to accompany me...and you know how cats sometimes get in front of you? She does that, and I nearly DO trip and fall
