I have to admit that with this one, for some reason I'm really hoping for a repsonse from persectives! I'm reading a book about children's past lives. The author believes tha children as early as two can remember past lives and deaths. And she and many psychiatrists and therapists use past life regression as a key part in therapy. Many of the psychiatrists, some noted doctors, won't admit to the full validity of past lives only to the the fact that past live hypnotherapy heals a great many ills such as anxieties, fears, difficult and even severe illnesses etc. Sometimes just by remembering your death - so if you were drowned for instance you may even as a baby have a fear of water, or if you were drowned or died of smoke inhalation you may have a related fear or a physical ailment such as severe asthma. There are supposed documented and well researched cases (ruling out having heard or learned of events, places, people elsewhere) of children starting to tell of these experiences from a very young age - some as soon as they begin talking - some in language more sophisticated then their age. Some have talents brought over from a past personality. One case documented twin toddlers who spoke in their own language that turned out to be aramaic. There's a word for this - children knowing entire languages (not a word here and there) they didn't learn elsewhere. My baby is asleep in my lap so I can't go check! Tell me what you think and if you've experiences in this. I seems many cases come out of India - children who remember villages far from their own - where an entire different dialect is spoken, they go there with there parents and know there way around, know supposed past family members, things they wouldn't normally know. Its pretty trippy. I haven't experienced this myself in my interactions with children. Although, before I knew the word reincarnation, before five, and I remembered something, many times I would catalog it in my mind as being from Before. Tell me your beliefs/stories/practice around this. :)0-

Who is the author of the book that you are reading? I have read a lot about the same subject, another author claiming that the problems and anxieties that we experience in this life is the product of what we chose before we were born. My aunt believes in this so much and for her I can see that it helps her in dealing some of the heavy burdens that she experiences.

I think if I go into life coaching/counseling I might like to branch off a bit into this area.
