Hi friends,
i had bveen shopping today and there i saw a very sweet little girl standing in front of me.She was real cute and looked healthy.I saw that she was browsing through the magazines where she picked out one.On the cover was Victoiria Beckham.
Now we all know how obsessed with wieght is she,I reaaly hate to see her.Nevertheless, i saw this little girl going ga ga over Victoria. But that wasnt all what startled me .It was when she said mom i wanna have a fab figure like victo.I couldnt believe my ears. Her mom just signalled her to shut up and instead bought the masgazine.
I found that ridiculous. If i were the mother i would have given some sense to my daughter and shown her why i did not approne of her wish.
I was so sad to see that healthy child transforming into a skeleton like Victoria.I wish she forgets all about it and enjoys a full life.
What would you do when kids come up with such wishes.

I know what you mean about kids wanting to look like these super skinny celebs. I think they all look like skeletons and they need to get eat a cheese burgwer and fries and what makes me mad is everyone saying that britney needs to lose some weight!!!HUH!!!Wat planet are these people from. She looks good for having 2 kids...she doesn't have a 16 year olds body any more because she isn't 16 but if my kids ever said that i would talk to them about there wishes...my daughter like looking through the mags but i have never heard them say they want to look like that. But my daughter is only 7 years old so i don't think body image is there yet...Now my 12 year old step daughter has said that she is fat.. She has a bit of a belly but I don't think she is fat...she has it in her genes and she is still gorgeous the way she is, But she is also a confident child so that makes a huge difference. I talked to her about it and she seemed fine after that...Plus I told her mom and I'm sure she talked to her about it. Now I have a friend whos child is over weight and she acts like it...you know very un confident and unsecure so she looks more over weight than some other people do. It is hard raising a child to be confident in todays day and age!!!! Good discussion.

hi
Very rightly said. What you have done is great too for your stepdaughter. There is nothing more a mother can do than instill self faith in a child.Great going!!Be my friend.
