Most people are proud of where they come from and defend their heritage? Do you? I'm from the south and I love being a southern girl. When I've traveled, people love the way I talk and insist on hearing me say certain phrases and words. It's fun and can really be a conversation starter that seems to never end. Then there's people who seem to think those in the south are dumb or eat strange food... I may not be a brain surgeon but I've never ate dirt one day in my life. Not even as a child. And I don't eat road kill. I don't even eat red meat... So I must defend my fellow southerners and correct anyone who thinks such a thing of all southern people. Then again, there's some people I can't speak for and for those, I simply say, I've never met anyone like that... Also, I live no where near a swamp...LOL.
