Jodhaa Akbar is the most awaited movie of year 2007 which is still not relased. The first announced date of release was October 12th 2007; soon the movie was postponed to January 25th as a lot of post-production work was pending. Now the movie has been officially post-poned to February 15th as director Ashutosh Gowariker has been advised bed rest for 21 days due to a severe back problem. The film is a sixteenth century romantic musical starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. Hrithik plays the role of great mughal emperor Akbar and Aishwarya plays the role of Rajput princess, Jodha Bhai. Akbar’s greatest challenge was not merely winning battles, but in winning the love of Jodhaa – a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice. Jodhaa Akbar is their untold love story. Here’s an exclusive pic of the movie. The posters however, do not reveal the face of Ash, but definitely increases our curiosity levels. I just can't take off my eyes from the jewellery that she is wearing .. my God that's just fantastic.

Jodha Akbar is one of my all time favrite hindi movie. Aishwariya Rai Bachan played an excellent role as a rajput princess.Hrithik Roshan also plays an execellent mughal empire Akbar. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwariya Rai has geat chemiestry as a lot of us witnessed in Dhoom 2. The story line is also perfact, Although it is not the true love story but based on Akbar Jodha from the nineteenth century. The movie has great twist and turns and I recomend it to everyone. I personally have watched it at least ten time.

Hi Preeti, Yes, it is a much-awaited magnum opus and I am still in two minds as to whether I should go or not. For one, the tickets are highly priced and alongwith snacks and stuff, it’s a deal of a 1000Rs at least for a family of 3. no small matter if I really don’t like the movie! But Ash is really looking stunningly convincing I must say and yes the ornaments are fantastic. (just imagine, once upon a time our forefathers actually wore the real stuff!) and Hrithik is looking handsome and raw as usual, but you know what…my mind is fixed on Prithviraj Kapoor as Akbar and Durga Khote as Jodha after Mughal-e-azam. I don’t think any actor or actress can erase that impression from the mind ever and after seeing these two stalwarts as parents of Emperor Jehangir, its kind of difficult to imagine them as young lovers, just into their marriage. I think I will wait for the reviews and then decide.

I saw Jodhaa Akbar yesterday and frankly speaking it is one of the most boring movies I have seen in my life. It is almost 4 hours long and the story as been narrated in such a bad way that it makes you yawn. The performances by the actors is also not very good with Aishwarya not at all convincing as a Rajput princess. This movie is definitely a miss.

Well as you said it's definitely a miss -- but I can't help it as because I got the tickets booked in advance .. but still I am happy -- because it will be Aishwarya's first movie to watch after her marriage and she is looking gorgeous in the movie ..
