Diabetes and Nightmares

I have just read that a drop in blood glucose levels during the night in diabetics will cause nightmares. This is interesting because the two of us both have diabetes and have frequent nightmares. If you are a diabetic, do you have frequent nightmares?

I read that there are some test studies about blood sugar levels and sleep patterns. It could make sense that any sharp drop could not only effect sleep but dream pasterns too. I am a diabetic but I have always had really bad nightmares and night terrors / tremors.

I hadn't heard this. I'm not a diabetic, but I did have a nightmare the other night. I wonder if it's the same for non diabetics??

If you are not diabetic then your blood sugar should not drop dramatically while you sleep - but, it your blood sugar did drop it would effect you the same way. BUT - Big BUT - this is not the only reason for nightmares and disturbed sleep. One does not indicate the other.
