I am in the process of reading a really wonderful book. It is called "The Thirteenth Tale" it is about an author near the end of her life who wants to tell her real life story. Previously, she had made up fanciful stories when reporters asked her about her background. This time she promises to tell her young biographer the truth. It is really spell-binding. I find it hard to put down at night when it is time to go to bed. What is the last book that really grabbed your attention?

Hi Trace! I have read that book too! I finished it from cover to cover. I was also fascinated by how Diane Setterfield waved her words. It was mesmerizing. Now that I came across this discussion, it makes me want to rummage through my bookshelf and find that book to read again!

Oh I love to join a book club! But I don't know how we can read together and discuss if we are far away from each other

I remember reading a little write up on that book and thinking that I would like to read it. Of course, I didn't write it down and forgot about it. I'll have to request it from the library.

Right now I'm reading "Help Me Help Myself" by Beth Lisick. I read a review of it in a magazine, and it sounded funny. Right now, I NEED funny in my life, LOL. It's about a woman who decided to try all these different self help things, one new thing a month. So she does things from getting a professional organizer to going on a Richard Simmons cruise to lose vacation. She decided to do this after she realized her resolution for the new year was being able to do the splits on both sides. It's been an enjoyable read so far, and I just want to keep reading to see what happens next.

Is it really that good? Last time I checked, it was on the top 10 of Amazon's best selling books. I considered buying it but I ended up didn't because I still got many books at home needed to be read. If you think it's really that good, then I should really remember that when I enter the bookstore next time and take a good look! Thanks for the sharing!

Lol, when I read Children of the Matrix by David Icke, only that book is so long that even I couldn't finish it. We were in a bookstore and I was just thumbing through it but then started reading standing up, and after a while found a chair and just kept reading. Hubby loves to prowl in bookstores, too, so he was happy, but when he finally finished shopping he came up to see if I was done. It was like 3 hours later and I had read less than 1/3 of the book.
