This appears to be rare case because suicide cases mostly dumped in dustbin. In this case the police and prosecutor took up the matter in a proper manner at the court and made sure the husband of the girl who committed suicide, his mother and father were proved that they were torturing the girl to bring more dowry from her parents. This caused this girl to take the extreme step to end her life. At least there would be 1-2 news married girls committing suicide in dailies. very very few cases are closed were victims get punished but most of the victims. I mean the husband, in laws escape from punishment because of improper evidence to prove that there are guilty. My agony is that although committed suicide herself she did it as she was forced by 3 people with whom she had been living in a single house. Her husband failed in his responsibility of taking care of his wife and instead he tortured her unendingly. Really gradually he murdered her. So it is unfair for the court to give him 10 years prison sentence and 3 years for his parents. It appears that they arranged this marriage for their son just to pluck money and other items in the name of “dowry”. To me I would have been happier if he were given life sentence and 10 years for his parents. I feel that the punishment should be severe enough for those who provoke someone to commit suicide so that the number of suicide cases to get reduced specially of married women.
