His words sound all honorable and all as far as his reason for dropping out of the race - but - why is he throwing support to McCain? Will this sway voters to choose McCain over Huckabee or even a lesser acknowledged candidate?
What exactly does his dropping out mean when it says he ceded to McCain - does that mean all those who supported him automatically have their votes turned over to McCain?

I don't think so - but I am an airhead where this stuff is concerned, politics confuss me :(
True story, first year I was married to a previous husband who is a very very intellegant man and has always followed with intense detail the runners for office. It was election year. I was very proud of myself because it was the first time I would be voting for president. Well, come to find out my vote canceled out my husband's vote and the wrong person got into office (I won't say who but it was years back). Now, I pick the person I most respect at the time, last election was my retired pastor friend, I ask that person who they are voting for and I vote for the same person.

I am really disappointed in his decision to drop out. I think he was the man for the job. Now they are all alike. Scary.
