Hey all, i was just wondering if anyone here has given birth recently and can help put these jitters at ease. I myself have had 2 sons already. But here's the thing, my last was almost seven years ago! I am due around valentines day and am really scared. Any advice on relaxation until the big day?

Ah, you are a pro! :O) Its like riding a bike, lol. Seriously though, just focus on stuff, like washing the baby clothes, prepping the baby room, taking walks (not alone, then you might focus on labor). All types of things to not dwell on it.. Because once it gets here, you totally will know what to do. :O) Are there any cleaning projects that you have been putting off? When you start to stress out too much, focus that energy into cleaning something, it sounds weird, but I swear it works. Got me through five pregnancies! :O) Good luck!

Oh wow quiltedblessings!! You are the one who is the pro here! lol thank you ever so much for the advice. I have been trying to keep myself busy with cleaning and running after my older sons. I also have a girlfriend down the road from me who has 6 kids and she's been trying to get my mind off of it too. lol My due date is Valentines day so you can see why i am as skittish as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. lol Thanks again!

lol, no worries! :O) And yep, I'm a pro! 5 babies in 9 years will do that to you! :O) You will do just fine. :O) If you ever need someone to "talk you down" so to speak, just holler my way. I'm usually around! LOL Well, the 3 yr old won't go to bed, time to take matters into my own hands. :O) Night!

I'm with everyone else who has responded. Just concentrate on getting everything done. I had my third and last son 4 Sept. He was 6 days early. I wasn't ready (but then again, I was packing at the time. We moved about three weeks later). Just get as much done and relax as much as you can. I remember heading to the hospital at about 1:30-2am thinking "I'm not ready, I'm not ready." But I was.

I also have 2 kids and my youngest will be 8 this summer, but I remember when I was pregnant with him I wasn't nervous about giving birth to him, like I was when I was pregnant with my first son (3 years gap). I just wanted him out, and out he came! LOL Try not to think about giving birth (easier said then done), but rather focus on other things instead. Before you know it your baby will be born and all your worrying about the delivery will be in the past. :) Good luck!
