Bananas are said to be the natural cure for heartburn. But for myself and a few other people it CAUSES major heartburn. Does anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone know why they cause heartburn in some people and cure it for most? P.S. Krispy Kreme donuts cause terrible heartburn for me too. But not other donuts! -Tink

One mans food is another mans poison, something good for others may not be so good for youthat could may be abiological disorder but you must not term it as a curse.

I have never heard this before, I am going to test it out. I just bought some bananas. I know that orange juice bothers me, I love it but it don't like me.

I don't know why, but I know that if I eat too many bananas I will have heartburn for a week. It's the same thing with v8 juice.

Hmm, I'm not sure why a banana supposedly cures heartburn. I can't think of anything in the banana that would help except that it might absorb some of the acid that is causing the heartburn. They don't really have an effect on me either way. They don't cause or help heartburn for me. All doughnuts give me heartburn...I imagine due to the grease in them. I haven't had a doughnut in ages!
